Self-Test

Adding a Page Extras self-test is similar to adding a glossary, except that there is no default self-test. You must choose between entering the path to a self-test xml file and listing self-test items in the quiz questions textfield. As with the glossary, there is a quiz editor that can be used to generate the xml file or copy questions into the quiz questions textfield. The self-test is a very simple tool. Only multiple-choice questions can be presented, and each question must have exactly one correct answer. The purpose of the self-test is to guide the thinking of your students as they read material or interact with the content you have placed in the body of the page. Be creative in your question writing. The answer to all questions need not appear on the page! The question/answer format can easily be used to extend the content on the existing page, review content from previous pages, or guide activity in cases where the page content provides options, such as in a game or simulation.
