General Tips

To get started creating Drupal Content, visit the Create Content page. This page lists the types of content that can be created, with brief descriptions of each.

In most cases, you will add content by typing HTML into the page's Body field. Unlike many Drupal sites, Drupal4Ed does not support any WYSIWYG editors. This is due to the low quality of the available editors, and we make no apology. You should be aware that the Body field can contain html, if you know how to write html, and that if you put enough white space between your paragraphs, automatic tagging will ensure that you do get a paragraph break. This behavior is a bit inconsistent, so if you test your page and you don't see any white space between your paragraphs, you can add addition lines or add the <p> tags by hand.

For a list of html tags supported by the default Input filter, as well as descriptions of other available filters, you must expand the Input format section, located directly beneath the Body field.

Many Drupal4Ed content types, such as book pages, video pages, and swfbook pages, provide page-specific instructions and a much easier editing interface. Ironically, plain vanilla HTML is the hardest type of content to create at this site. Creating image slideshows, enhanced Book Page content, or uploading content you have created using a tool such as iSpring, Jing, Captivate, Camtasia or other tools is easy and intuitive.
